Simulation modelling of boreal fire regimes - BFOLDS
Fire history data provide limited information about potential variability of fire regimes and empirical models presume knowledge of variability. Mechanistic fire regime models permit the discovery of variability as an emerging property of the model logic and input data without presumptions. See publications for more details.
